As a child, I was captivated by the treasures of King Tutankhamun’s tomb during a traveling exhibition in New Orleans in 1978. The sight of that intricately decorated sarcophagus left an indelible mark, igniting a curiosity about ancient Egypt that has only grown stronger over the years.
My academic background may seem far removed from the pyramids and hieroglyphs. While my studies in healthcare administration and health sciences instilled in me a meticulous approach to research, it was ancient Egypt that truly captured my imagination.
My quest for knowledge about ancient Egypt has been fueled by extensive reading and research. I’ve also been fortunate to travel to Egypt itself, where I stood in awe before the عظائم (ʿaẓāʼim) – the great monuments like the pyramids of Giza and the majestic temples of Karnak. These experiences have given me a deeper appreciation for the ingenuity and artistry of the ancient Egyptians.
